Cancelling a Suluada booking is free up to 24 hours before departure, and because you pay on the tour day rather than in advance, there is nothing to refund and no card to wait on. One message ends it.
Changes work the same way. A different date, a different hotel, one more traveller or one fewer — all of it is handled by message rather than through a form. Here is exactly what to do, and what happens in the situations people actually run into.
The Policy in One Line
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before departure. That is the whole rule, and it applies equally to the Side departure and the Antalya departure.
It is worth understanding why it can be that short. Reservations here are free to make and payable on the tour day: no deposit, no prepayment, no card charged when you book. So a cancellation is an administrative act rather than a financial one — you tell us, the place is released, and nobody is chasing money back through a bank. The mechanics of that model are on how to book, and what you actually hand over on the day is covered in cash or card on the day.
You do not need a reason and we will not ask for one. Prices are flat and published on the prices page — €40 per adult, €30 per child aged 4–10, infants 0–3 free — and there is no penalty hiding under a clause, because there is no payment to penalise.
How to Cancel
Message us. Give the name on the booking, the date, and which departure you were on — Side or Antalya — and we will confirm the cancellation back to you. The contact page lists the ways to reach us; a WhatsApp message is usually the fastest.
Do it as soon as you know. Cancelling three days out costs nothing, changes nothing for you and frees a place for somebody else. The 24-hour line exists because the day is planned ahead of it: vehicles, collection routes and lunch numbers are not decided at breakfast.
Cancelling does not close a door. There is no penalty for booking again later in the same week and no record that follows you around — the flat fare of €40 per adult, €30 per child aged 4–10 is exactly the fare you would be quoted next time. And if you are cancelling because the day itself no longer works, say so in the same message: we would rather move you to the other departure than simply take you off a list.
Changing a Date, a Hotel or the Numbers
There is no self-service change screen. Changes go through a person, which is slower to start and faster to finish — send the booking name and what needs to move.
- A different date. Simple on the Side departure, which runs every day. On the Antalya boat, remember the sailing days: Tuesday and Thursday all year, plus Saturday from April to October. Pick one of those, or move across to the Side departure with its 05:30–06:00 pickup window. From Side vs from Antalya compares the two honestly.
- A different hotel. Tell us the moment you know, because pickup is arranged by address. If the new hotel sits in the Belek band, the Alanya band, Kundu, Konyaaltı, Göynük, Kiriş, Çamyuva or Tekirova, we confirm that pickup individually rather than assume it. If it is on the west coast — Adrasan, Olympos, Çıralı, Finike, Demre or Kaş — there is no transfer product at all, and you would meet the boat at Adrasan harbour instead.
- More or fewer people. Numbers are the easy part, because the fare does not move with them: €40 per adult, €30 per child aged 4–10, infants free. Parties changing shape should read booking for a group.
- A spelling. Worth fixing, because the confirmation and the printable ticket both carry the name.
Moving a booking is not the same as cancelling one. If you are not sure your new plan even works, ask before you cancel — shifting a date is usually easier than starting from scratch.
If the Weather Cancels the Boat
Sometimes the sea decides instead of you. In rough conditions the harbour authority can stop departures from Adrasan, and when that happens nothing sails — not our boat, not anyone's.
In that case you are rebooked onto another date or refunded. You are never left holding a reservation for a boat that did not go, and you are never charged for a day that did not happen. That call is not ours and it is not made weeks ahead, so we contact you as soon as it is made. What happens if the weather cancels walks through it step by step.
Two things follow from that. First, sailings are settled close to the day, so a forecast you read a week out is weather, not a decision — do not cancel on the strength of it. Second, if the sea is genuinely against us, the honest option is another date rather than a rough crossing you would not enjoy. If your holiday has no other free day left, say so and a refund is on the table.
Inside 24 Hours, and No-Shows
The free-cancellation window closes 24 hours before departure. Inside it, message us anyway.
Nothing has been charged to you — the model is pay on the day — so the consequence is not financial. It is practical: otherwise a vehicle is routed to a hotel where nobody comes down, on a morning that starts in the 05:30–06:00 window with other guests already aboard. Two lines of text spare everybody that.
The same goes if you simply do not make it downstairs in time. Tell us rather than let the driver wait. And if you are cancelling because you are no longer sure the day suits you, read what is included first — often the doubt is about the lunch, the swimming or the length of the day rather than the booking itself, and those have answers.
