Suluada from Side vs from Antalya

The one-line answer: if you are staying anywhere in the Side region, book the Side departure; if you are in Antalya, Kemer or Beldibi, book the Antalya departure. Same island, same boat day, same €40.

Both cruises physically sail from the same place — Adrasan harbour, in the west of Antalya province. Your pickup point only changes the road leg. Nobody gets a better island by choosing differently.

What does change is the clock and the calendar. The departure from Side runs every day and takes about 10 hours door to door. The departure from Antalya runs on selected days and takes about 12.

Below: the days each one sails, the two pickup windows, the real difference in length, and the one rule about children that actually changes the answer.

Departure Days: Daily vs Selected Days

The Side departure sails every day. Pick the morning that suits your holiday and go.

The Antalya departure sails on Tuesday and Thursday all year, plus Saturday from April to October. We would rather say that plainly than let you build a day around a boat that is not sailing. If those days do not fit your dates and you can reach the Side region, the daily departure is the simpler answer.

Both are booked free online and paid on the tour day. Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before departure, and if the harbour authority stops sailings in rough sea you are rebooked or refunded.

The Clock: 05:30–06:00 vs 08:30–09:00

From the Side region, hotel pickup falls in the 05:30–06:00 window, in air-conditioned vehicles. It is early. It is also why the day works: the drive west is done before the coast wakes up, and there is an optional breakfast stop at Adrasan around 08:30, payable at the local restaurant.

From Antalya, Kemer and Beldibi the window is 08:30–09:00 — a far more civilised alarm clock, and the single strongest argument for this departure.

The boat itself does not care where you came from. It sails from Adrasan at 09:40 and docks back at 16:00 either way. We publish these windows and never fixed per-hotel times; your exact pickup is confirmed individually with your booking.

Length, Price and Children

Length: about 10 hours door to door from the Side band, about 12 hours from Antalya, Kemer and Beldibi. The extra two hours are road, not water.

Price: identical. €40 per adult, €30 per child aged 4–10, infants 0–3 free — one flat price from every pickup point on the coast. There is no cheaper starting point, and we do not run discounts. See the price page.

Children: this is the one real difference. The Side departure lists a minimum age of 6. The Antalya departure carries infants 0–3 free and children at the reduced price, and its later start is gentler on small children in any case. Younger children on board must be supervised on deck at all times.

What You Get on Each, and How to Decide

Both include the two-way transfer, the cruise, guidance and swimming breaks at Suluada and the surrounding bays, plus lunch cooked on board: grilled fish or chicken with pasta or rice, daily Turkish mezes, seasonal salad, then fruit and Turkish tea. Drinks from the bar are paid separately. The Antalya departure additionally includes snorkelling masks, pool floats, marine insurance and harbour fees.

Pickup coverage: the Side–Manavgat band — Side, Kumköy, Evrenseki, Çolaklı, Gündoğdu, Titreyengöl, Sorgun, Manavgat, Kızılağaç, Kızılot — feeds the daily departure, while central Antalya, Lara, Kemer and Beldibi feed the Antalya days. Staying in Belek, Kundu, Konyaaltı or the Alanya band? We confirm your pickup individually — message us before you book.

Decide like this: Side region → the daily departure. Antalya, Kemer or Beldibi → the Tuesday, Thursday or in-season Saturday departure. Travelling with a child under 6 → the Antalya days. Anything unclear about your hotel → ask us on the contact page. Then book the Side departure or the Antalya departure directly.

FAQ

Should I book Suluada from Side or from Antalya?+

Book from wherever you are sleeping. The Side departure sails daily and takes about 10 hours; the Antalya departure sails Tuesday and Thursday all year plus Saturday from April to October and takes about 12. The island, the boat day and the €40 price are the same.

Is the Suluada tour cheaper from Side?+

No. It is €40 per adult, €30 per child aged 4–10 and free for infants 0–3 from every pickup point on the coast. The flat price is the point: your hotel address never changes what you pay.

Why is the pickup from Side so early?+

Because Suluada sits off the west of Antalya province and every cruise sails from Adrasan harbour at 09:40. From the Side region that means a 05:30–06:00 pickup; from Antalya, Kemer and Beldibi the road is shorter, so the window is 08:30–09:00.

Which departure is better with young children?+

The Antalya departure. It has a later 08:30–09:00 pickup and carries infants 0–3 free, while the Side departure lists a minimum age of 6. Children on deck must be supervised at all times, and there is no shop on the island, so pack what you need.
