Suluada Boat Tour vs Private Charter

Short answer: almost everyone should book the shared boat tour. It is a fixed, published product — a flat €40 per adult, €30 per child aged 4–10, infants free — and it visits exactly the same island as any private boat.

Suluada is a small rocky island off the Adrasan coast, west of Antalya. Everything that makes it worth the drive — the white sandy bay, the turquoise water people call the Turkish Maldives, the twin beaches, the Love Cave — is reached from the water. No boat gets you a different island.

A private charter buys you the boat, not the view. It makes sense for a specific kind of day: a large family, a celebration, a group that wants its own timings. We do arrange them, but only on request. We do not publish charter prices, boat capacities or charter schedules, because they depend on the boat, the date and the group.

Our shared cruise runs as two departures: the daily Suluada boat tour from Side and the tour from Antalya. Below, both options side by side, without sales talk.

What the Shared Boat Tour Gives You

One price, one day, no negotiation. €40 per adult from every pickup point on the coast, €30 per child aged 4–10, infants 0–3 free. You book free online and pay on the tour day — there is no prepayment.

The boat sails from Adrasan harbour at 09:40 and docks back at 16:00. In between: swimming breaks at Suluada and the surrounding bays, the sheltered cove of Domuz Bay on the route, and lunch cooked on board — grilled fish or chicken with pasta or rice, daily Turkish mezes, seasonal salad, then fruit and Turkish tea. Drinks from the bar are paid separately.

The ticket also covers the two-way hotel transfer and guidance. The Antalya departure adds snorkelling masks, pool floats, marine insurance and harbour fees. Everything is listed on the price page.

What a Private Charter Is — and What We Will Not Tell You

A private charter means the boat is yours for the day: your group, your pace, your music, your swimming stops within the route the sea allows.

Here is the honest part. We do not publish charter prices, boat capacities or fixed charter schedules. It is not a shelf product. What a private day costs depends on the boat, the date, the number of guests and what you want on board — and quoting a number before we know those things would be inventing one.

So private boats are handled as an enquiry. Tell us the date, the group size and what you have in mind through the contact page, and you get a real answer for your actual day. Our private boat page and yacht tour page explain the same thing in more detail.

If chartering is genuinely what you want, we also keep a brand of our own for yacht and private-charter work — you can enquire about a yacht or private charter there, and the answer still comes from inside the same group.

Where the Difference Actually Shows

The island is identical. Same bay, same water, same anchorage. Both a shared boat and a private one anchor near the island; where conditions allow, tender boats shuttle guests across to the bay. There is no shop on the island either way, so bring what you need.

The difference is the day around it. On the shared cruise you keep a published timetable and share the deck; the crew handles everything and you pay one clear per-person price. On a private boat you set the rhythm — and you carry the cost of the whole boat rather than a seat on it.

Weather is the one thing neither option controls. In rough seas the harbour authority can stop departures; bookings are rebooked or refunded, and cancellation is free up to 24 hours before departure.

Which One to Book

Book the shared tour if you are a couple, a family, a group of friends, or anyone who wants a full island day at a price you can check before you travel. That is the overwhelming majority of our guests, and it is the product this whole site is built around.

Ask about a private boat if you have a large group travelling together, a birthday or a proposal in mind, or a real reason to need your own timings. Send the date and the numbers via contact and we will tell you what is possible.

FAQ

Is the Suluada boat tour private or shared?+

It is a shared group cruise — one boat, one published schedule, a flat €40 per adult and €30 per child aged 4–10. Private charters exist, but they are arranged individually on request, not sold as a fixed product.

How much does a private boat to Suluada cost?+

We do not publish a price, because there is no single one. A private day depends on the boat, the date and the group size, so we quote it only after an enquiry. The shared cruise, by contrast, is always €40 per adult.

Do you see more of the island on a private charter?+

No. Shared and private boats reach the same island, anchor near the same bay and are limited by the same sea conditions. A charter changes who you share the deck with and how flexible the timings are — not what you see.

Which is better for a family?+

For most families the shared tour is the better buy: children aged 4–10 pay €30, infants 0–3 sail free, and lunch is included. Note the minimum age of 6 on the Side departure. A private boat only starts to make sense for a large group travelling together.
