Suluada Boat Tour from Konyaaltı

Konyaaltı is not a resort strip at all. It is Antalya's own beach, with the city immediately behind it — apartments, the tram, cliff-top parks and restaurants that stay open in February. Which makes you a city guest rather than a hotel guest, and changes the question you are asking. You are not choosing between excursions on a hotel noticeboard. You are weighing a day in town against a day at a genuinely remote island.

The good news is that a city base suits this trip better than most day trips. Our Antalya departure is built on the city's own morning rhythm: guests are collected between 08:30 and 09:00, not at the pre-dawn hour the Side-region tours run on. You are on the western side of town, which is the side the coast road leaves from. And you come back to a living city in the evening instead of a hotel that has closed its buffet. Set aside about twelve hours, and fix the date early — sailings are Tuesday and Thursday through the year, with Saturday added from April to October.

What you trade is convenience for remoteness, and the trade is real. Suluada has no café, no shop, no rentable shade — it is a rock off the Adrasan coast with two pale beaches and nothing on it, which is exactly the point after a week of a city that has everything. Every cruise leaves from Adrasan harbour; the boat anchors offshore and tenders take guests in when the sea allows. Provided on board: masks and pool floats for the snorkelling stops, lunch grilled on deck — fish or chicken with pasta or rice, mezes, salad, fruit and tea — plus marine insurance and harbour fees. Bring your own water, sunscreen and anything you want to eat between meals; drinks come from the bar.

One practical difference from a resort pickup: many Konyaaltı guests are in apartments rather than hotels, so every Konyaaltı pickup is confirmed individually — reserve the seats, send the address or property name through contact or WhatsApp, and we agree a meeting point the vehicle can actually reach. The fare does not depend on where you sleep: €40 an adult, €30 a child aged 4 to 10, infants free (Antalya price page). Booking is free, you pay on the day, cancellation is free up to 24 hours ahead. Still undecided? Suluada or a city day in Antalya sets the two against each other, and Suluada versus an Antalya harbour cruise covers the boats that leave from the old marina. Other city pickups: Antalya centre and Lara.

FAQ

I am in a Konyaaltı apartment, not a hotel — can you still collect me?+

Yes, but we agree it with you rather than assume it. Konyaaltı pickups are confirmed individually: book the seats, send the address, and we come back with a meeting point the vehicle can genuinely reach — usually over WhatsApp. Collection sits inside the 08:30–09:00 window and the price is unaffected.

Is a remote island realistic as a day trip from the city?+

It is how most people do it. Reckon on twelve hours between collection and return, on a Tuesday or Thursday through the year, or a Saturday between April and October. You leave town after breakfast, the boat sails from Adrasan at 09:40 and is back alongside at 16:00, and you are in Antalya again for the evening.

How is this different from the boats at Antalya's old harbour?+

A harbour cruise keeps the city in sight — the cliffs, the marina, the skyline from the water. This one ends somewhere with nothing on it: an uninhabited island with twin light-sand beaches and turquoise shallows, which is where the Turkish Maldives nickname comes from. One is an outing from the city; the other is a day out of it.

What does it cost from Konyaaltı, and when do I pay?+

€40 an adult, €30 a child aged 4 to 10, infants free — the same from Konyaaltı as from anywhere else we collect, because the fare does not depend on your address. Nothing is charged when you book: you pay on the tour day, and cancelling is free up to 24 hours before departure.
