Side or Antalya Departure: Which Suluada Boat Tour to Book

Both of our Suluada tours finish in the same bay, on the same water, off the same island. Every boat to Suluada sails from Adrasan harbour, and the departure you choose changes only the road leg in front of it.

So the decision is not about the island. It comes down to three practical things: which days the boat actually runs, how early you have to be awake, and how long a day you are prepared to give it. Here is the honest comparison.

The Side Departure: Every Day, Very Early

The Suluada boat tour from Side runs every day. That one fact solves most holiday planning problems. Whichever day you have free, the boat is going out.

The price of that flexibility is the alarm. Hotel pickup falls in the 05:30–06:00 window across the Side region, in air-conditioned vehicles. There is an optional breakfast stop at Adrasan on the way, paid at the local restaurant if you want it. The boat sails at 09:40, docks back at 16:00, and you are driven home from there. Door to door, plan for about 10 hours.

We will not dress that up. 05:30 is early, and it is early on holiday, which makes it feel earlier still. What you get in return is the calm part of the morning on the water and an evening still ahead of you when you get back. The Antalya Departure: Fixed Days, Later Start

The Suluada boat tour from Antalya does not sail every day, and we would rather say so plainly than let you build a holiday around a boat that is not going out. It runs Tuesday and Thursday all year, plus Saturday from April to October.

In exchange, the morning is far gentler. Pickup falls in the 08:30–09:00 window from central Antalya, Kemer and Beldibi. The day is longer overall — around 12 hours — because the road leg from that side of the coast is longer. Snorkelling masks and pool floats are included on this boat.

That later start is worth more than it sounds. You leave your hotel after a normal breakfast rather than before it, which matters if you are travelling with children, if you sleep badly in the first nights of a holiday, or if you simply refuse to set an alarm for a number that begins with a five. The trade-off is the calendar: three sailing days a week from April to October, two the rest of the year, and no exceptions. You book the day, not the whim.

Which One Is Actually Yours?

In most cases your hotel decides for you and the rest is a question of the calendar.

• Side–Manavgat band — Side, Kumköy, Evrenseki, Çolaklı, Gündoğdu, Titreyengöl, Sorgun, Manavgat, Kızılağaç, Kızılot: the Side departure, with free hotel transfer. Start at boat tours from Side.
• Central Antalya, Lara, Kemer, Beldibi: the other departure, with free hotel transfer — pick a Tuesday, a Thursday, or a Saturday between April and October. Start at boat tours from Antalya.
• Belek band, Alanya band, Kundu, Konyaaltı, Göynük, Kiriş, Çamyuva, Tekirova: both are possible and we confirm your pickup individually. Send us your hotel name and we will tell you which one works.
• Adrasan, Olympos, Çıralı, Finike, Demre, Kaş: there is no transfer product for the west coast. Guests make their own way to Adrasan harbour and meet the boat there.
• Travelling with a child under 6: the Side departure has a minimum age of 6, so ask us before you book anything.

What Does Not Change at All

Almost everything else. These are not two products of different quality. They are two roads to one island.

The price is flat: €40 per adult, €30 per child aged 4–10, infants 0–3 free, from every pickup point on the coast. Nobody pays a surcharge for staying further away. You book free online and pay on the tour day, and cancellation is free up to 24 hours before departure.

Lunch is cooked on board on both boats: grilled fish or chicken with pasta or rice, the day's Turkish mezes, a seasonal salad, then fruit and tea. Drinks at the bar are not included. Both days give you swimming stops at Suluada and in the bays along the route. Both anchor near the island, with tender boats shuttling guests into the bay where conditions allow. Both land you somewhere with no shop, so everything you need travels with you. Life jackets are available on request, and non-swimmers are welcome on either boat.

Book the One That Fits Your Week

Start with the calendar, not the brochure. Find the day you are actually free, check whether it is a Tuesday, a Thursday or an April-to-October Saturday, and let that answer the question. If it is not one of those, take the daily boat from Side and set the alarm.
