The Best Time to Visit Suluada: Months, Days and What the Schedule Tells You

The best time to visit Suluada is the day the boat sails and you are free to be on it. From the Side region that is any day of the year. From Antalya, Kemer and Beldibi it is Tuesday and Thursday all year, plus Saturday from April to October.

That is a more useful answer than a month, because the island itself does not change much: a small rocky island off the Adrasan coast, a light-sand bay, water that turns turquoise where it shallows. What changes is the schedule, the sea, and how busy the coast is around you. Here is how to read all three.

What the Schedule Tells You About the Season

Look at the operating days and the season reveals itself. The Side departure runs every day of the year — there is no closed season on this route. The Antalya departure runs Tuesday and Thursday throughout the year and adds a Saturday between April and October. That extra day is the clearest signal we can give you about when the coast is at its liveliest: April to October is the stretch when demand justifies a third weekly sailing.

Outside those months the island is still there and the boat still goes from Side. Decks are calmer, and the day feels less like a shared occasion and more like a private one. Neither version is better. They are simply different days out, and the price is the same either way: a flat €40 per adult, €30 per child aged 4–10, infants free.

What does not change is the day itself. Whichever month you choose, the boat sails from Adrasan at 09:40 and docks back at 16:00, the swimming breaks fall at Suluada and the bays around it, and lunch is cooked and served on board. There is no reduced winter version of the cruise and no extended summer one — the same day, in different light, with a different number of people around you.

Choosing Your Day of the Week

If you are staying anywhere in the Side–Manavgat band — Side, Kumköy, Evrenseki, Çolaklı, Gündoğdu, Titreyengöl, Sorgun, Manavgat, Kızılağaç, Kızılot — the day of the week is entirely yours. If you are staying in Antalya, Kemer or Beldibi, the week is narrower: Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday between April and October. Plan around those days rather than hoping. Guests sometimes ask whether they can simply join the daily Side departure instead — the honest answer is that the Side departure's hotel transfer covers the Side–Manavgat band, so for other areas we confirm the pickup individually. The Time of Day Is Already Decided

There is no morning-versus-afternoon decision to make, because the boat runs once. It sails from Adrasan harbour at 09:40 and docks back at 16:00. Around that fixed core, the pickup window is 05:30–06:00 from the Side region and 08:30–09:00 from Antalya, Kemer and Beldibi, and your exact time inside the window is confirmed individually.

The consequence is that you get the middle of the day on the water and the swimming breaks land in the best light for it. Sea Conditions, and What Happens If the Harbour Closes

The one thing no calendar controls is the sea. In rough conditions the harbour authority can stop departures — a safety decision made ashore, not by us. When that happens you are rebooked onto another day or refunded. Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before departure, so a change of plan on your side costs nothing either.

This is worth building into your trip rather than fearing. If your holiday is a week long and Suluada matters to you, book it early in the week from Side; the daily schedule leaves room to move. Planning Around Your Holiday Dates

Three practical rules cover almost everyone.

Book the day you are most flexible. Not your last morning — you want a spare day in hand in case the sea has an opinion.

Match the departure to your household, not to the map. The Side departure is daily and shorter overall, at about ten hours door to door, but the alarm is early.
